Union Agriculture Minister, Shri Radha Mohan Singh visited ICAR-National Bureau of Agricultural Insect Resources, Bengaluru, on 2nd April 2015. He inaugurated 'Insect Gallery and Exhibition Centre' and visited 'Insectarium', which is opened for farmers to know about destructive and useful insects, besides 'Insect Museum', which houses insects collected for last 50 years. He also released a folder on Tuta absoluta, a new invasive pest to tomato and many other crops in India.

A MoU was signed between Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and Agriculture Department, Bihar for conversion of Rajendra Agriculture University, Pusa into Rajendra Central Agriculture University, Pusa here today. The event was graced by Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Union Agriculture Minister; Shri Jeetan Ram Manjhi, Chief Minister, Bihar; and Shri Narendra Singh, Agriculture Minister, Bihar.

Envisaging increased awareness and employment generation through agricultural activities for all sections of the Society, Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Union Agriculture Minister started a drive in East Champaran today. A series of Kisan Gosthies and interactions with farmers were conducted at various locations by the Minister. The events were organized by State Agriculture Department including ATMA, East Champaran at Siswa Bajar, Paharpur Parnchayat; Kotua Bajar, Harsidhi Panchayat; and Nawada village, Sangrampur.

The foundation stone of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ramgarh, Jharkhand was laid down by Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Hon’ble Union Agriculture Minister, Govt. of India along with Dr. S. Ayyappan, Secretary, DARE and Director General, ICAR, on 26th August, 2014 at Mandu, Jharkhand. This is the 24th KVK in the state of Jharkhand which has been established under the aegis of ICAR Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna.
