Secretary DARE and Director General, ICAR visits Hazaribag KVK
Dr. S. Ayyappan, Secretary, DARE and Director General, ICAR visited Holy Cross KVK Hazaribag today. Dr Ayyappan expressed that the KVK was playing a pivotal role in upliftment of the tribal people of the district. He said that there are tremendous opportunities in KVK to give varieties of quality services to the farmers and youth. He exhorted the staff to be among the best KVKs of the country, to be a model center of exposure and training to help even other KVKs.. He also addressed a large gathering of farmers who had gathered to interact with him. He encouraged the farmers to be progressive and make use of every opportunities offered to them to grow in their skill. The effort made by KVK in linking the SHGs producing value-added products like jam, jelly, prickle, candle and soap etc. to market was highly applauded.. The Soil Health Cards were distributed among the farmers.

Ramani, Director, Indian Institute of Natural Resins and Gums, Ranchi, Dr. B. P. Bhatt, Director, ICAR-Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna, and Dr. Mukund Variar, Officer-in-Charge, Central Rainfed Upland Rice Research Station and other state govt. officials were also present.
