Training Programme on Seed Quality Control Organized

ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre, Imphal organized a state level training programme on 'Seed Quality Control for Seed Certification' for State Officials and Extension Functionaries on 29th March, 2014.

Dr. S. Ayyappan, Secretary, DARE and Director General, ICAR inaugurated the training programme. While interacting with scientists, he highlighted the importance of seed in agriculture and emphasized upon the convergence in seed production with line departments. Dr. Ayyappan urged scientists to focus on important issues of agriculture and allied sectors and development of novel technology through multidisciplinary approach. He also released the profile of ICAR-Manipur centre.

Dr. S. V. Ngachan, Director, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Meghalaya and Dr. S.N. Puri, Vice Chancellor, Central Agricultural University, Imphal were also present on the occasion.

Scientists, KVK staff, technical, administrative and supporting staff of ICAR-RC for NEH Region Manipur Centre participated in the programme.
