ICAR Signed MoU with ABLE for Knowledge Partnership

Indian Council of Agricultural Research and Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE) signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) for knowledge partnership at New Delhi here today. The objective of this MoU is to facilitate effective and efficient communication and promotion of ICAR’s mandate, achievements and capabilities in the international arena to position ICAR as an important stakeholder and enabler in addressing global issues in the areas of food production, biofuels, impact of climate change on agriculture and resource conservation.

ABLE is a national forum that represents the Indian Biotechnology Sector is to accelerate the pace of growth of the Biotechnology Industry in India through encouraging greater investment in the sector, providing a platform for domestic and overseas organizations to explore collaborations and partnerships with the Government of India in their endeavors and forging stronger linkages between academia and industry.

Dr. S. Ayyappan, Secretary DARE and Director General, ICAR and Dr. Anil Chauhan, Director, ABLE signed the MoU. Shri Arvind Kaushal, Additional Secretary, DARE and Secretary, ICAR and Dr. Rameshwar Singh, Project Director, Directorate of Knowledge Management in Agriculture (DKMA), ICAR were also present on the occasion.
