Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) visits ICAR-CIRC, Meerut

Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) visited ICAR- Central Institute for Research on Cattle, Meerut today.

He was accompanied by Dr. A.K. Singh, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Extension); Dr. D. R. Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture Meerut; Dr. Devendra Kumar, Director, ICAR- Central Potato Research Institute, Shimla; Dr. Manoj Kumar, Joint Director, ICAR-Central Potato Research Institute Regional Station, Modipuram and Dr. Peyush Punia, Principal Scientist, ICAR-Indian Institute of Farming Systems Research, Modipuram.

In his maiden visit to the Institute, Dr. Pathak visited Museum and State of Art Semen Cryopreservation Laboratory and applauded the research and semen cryopreservation work being carried out there.

The Director General expressed his happiness after viewing the High pedigree Sahiwal calf produced using Embryo Transfer Technology at the Institute.

Dr. Pathak addressed Scientific, Technical, Administrative and Supporting staff of the Institute.

He urged that all the three Institutes located at Meerut viz. ICAR-CPRS, ICAR-IIFSR and ICAR-CIRC to work in unison for the benefit of the farmers.

At the outset, Dr. Abhijit Mitra, Director, ICAR-CIRC welcome the dignitaries and briefed about the recent achievements and activities of the Institute.
