DG, ICAR Interacts with ICAR Directors at ICAR-NAARM

“All ICAR Institutes need to plan for outcomes that can be delivered by following One-scientist One-product model”, said Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR). He was interacting with Directors of Hyderabad based ICAR Institutions and Heads of Regional Stations at ICAR- National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad today.

During his interaction, he highlighted the recent policies of ICAR such as five-day week, reviewing of ICAR Institute mandates in terms of output-outcomes, corpus fund formulation, transfer policy, filling of vacant positions and recruitment process of new ARS batch scientists, delegation of powers to directors, revenue generation models and others. Dr. Pathak emphasized on the critical need of the system in terms of efficiency of scientists and staff.

The DG, ICAR reviewed the Institute wise issues and suggested the way forward.

On this occasion, Dr Pathak released two research policy publications of ICAR-NAARM namely Guidelines for Incubation Centers and Kisan Call Centers.

He also interacted with CJSC members of the ICAR Institutes located at Hyderabad and inaugurated NAARM selfie point.

Directors and senior officers of PDP, IIOR, IIRR, IIMR, NRC Meat, ATARI, CRIDA, NAARM and Heads of regional stations of IIMR and NBPGR participated in the interactive meeting.
